So, I haven't posted at ALL this weekend. On Friday I got my stuff in from Whole Supplies Plus to make a sugar scrub! I have actually used it, and it's pretty good. I used the recipe on this site for the whipped body scrub and the whipped shea butter. It turned out awesome and was super easy to make! I'm definitely going to be trying to make other bath and body products. My next venture is to buy a good shampoo and conditioner base and make my own personalized shampoo and conditioner.
Saturday was really busy, I just didn't get anything done. I worked, then took my dearest mother out to lunch for being kind enough to get my cages for my leopard geckos from the pet store. After that, I went to babysit for a family friend. A good friend of mine came over after, someone I haven't seen in awhile, so that was a good end to the day.
Sunday, I slept in and then rushed to get buttons for my dress, and iron my boyfriend's clothes for a wedding we went to. It was really lovely, the food was great, and I had fun. We went home after and watched a few episodes of Adventure Time, but I was pooped and fell asleep.
FINALLY, Monday was Martin Luther King Jr. day and the credit union was closed, so me and my friend went to Scottsdale! Wooh! It was a blast, we went to Scottsdale Fashion Square first, mainly because we wanted to go to Lush. I got Angels on Bare Skin, which makes my skin feel heavenly soft, Cupcake Face Mask, which I have already tried and it also makes my skin feel wonderful, and cuts down on my oil, two Phoenix Rising Bath Bombs, which smelled like cinnamon and applesauce, so I got two, and Honey I Washed the Kids soap, which I wish they made in EVERYTHING because I want to smell this constantly. I have never used anything from Lush, but I am officially in love. It's so amazing!
We went to the Bath and Body Works outlet in Arizona Mills next, which was amazing. In retrospect, I should have gotten more hand sanitizers, because I go through them like crazy and they were only $0.37! I got 6 wall flower bulbs, 5 hand sanitizers and a bottle of lotion for $20 and some change. Screamin' deal. Next, we went to IKEA. Terrific. I got this beautiful duvet cover from Urban Outfitters for Christmas, and I didn't have a duvet insert, so Ikea saved the day! I got that, this lamp and bulbs, and this really neat curtain wire and clips to hang above my future desk. Of course, we didn't follow the arrows and got completely mixed up.
For dinner, we went to the Cornish Pasty Co. and it was seriously SO. GOOD. I had the shepherd's pie pasty, and it was so yummy. It was also huge, so I could only eat half! So I boxed up the other half and saved it for lunch the next day. We headed home after that, and ended up back at my house around 8:00. Not bad. All in all, it was a really fun weekend. I can't wait to save a bunch more money so I can go again, but it won't be for awhile!
